CINAHL from EBSCOhost
Dental Hygiene is one of the health professions covered by CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). Searches can be limited to articles from peer-reviewed journals, and to a particular type of article: research, case study, literature review... Some full text provided.

MEDLINE with Full Text from EBSCOhost
Created by the National Library of Medicine, Medline is the premiere medical database. Ebsco's version includes full text for nearly 1,200 of the 5,264 journals indexed in MEDLINE. Search results can be limited by type of research, reviews, and case reports when using the Advanced Search mode.
MEDLINE can also be searched in the NLM's PubMed database which includes "in-process" records for articles that have not yet been entered into MEDLINE. PubMed also covers a broader range of journals, but does not provide full text articles as Ebsco access does.

Merck Manual
Merck manuals provide detailed information on virtually all disorders, complete with discussion of symptoms and current therapy. Three Merck Manuals are provided: The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy, 1999; The Home Edition providing medical information in everyday language; and The Merck Manual of Geriatrics, 2000.

Omnifile Full Text Mega Edition from WilsonWeb
This "mega" database is comprised of six smaller, individual, specialized databases. Full text coverage begins in January 1994.

Selections from world dental literature are summarized monthly. Author and Subject indexes are published annually. Published by the American Dental Association.

DENTAL CLINICS OF NORTH AMERICA

Issues are thematic. For example, Volume 40: Complete Dentures (Jan); Infectious Diseases and Dentistry (April); Medically Compormised Patient (July); Adult Orthodontics (Oct). Each volume contains a subject index for that year. Published quarterly by W. B. Saunders.
